A Good Time Was Had By All!

It was a lovely weekend at the Bird house! Baby Bird and I spent part of the day Friday visiting with baby A and E who came to collect their dog Jackson who had been our house guest for 10 days- the babes played happily while the moms enjoyed lunch outside. What a treat to have lunch with one of my girlfriends I met in Boston!
Friday evening we got to meet our neighborhood at a get together up the street; baby Bird spent most of his time in the arms of a 14 year old but was also held by a 4 year old and a 5 year old. I guess I'm finally relaxing as a "new" mom. We're so thankful to be in such a hospitable neighborhood with so many families...the primary noise on our street late into the night Friday was kids playing in the yard at this get together.
Big Bird's parents and sister G came to visit us from NY and we had a great time playing with the baby, working in the yard, eating good food, and enjoying time as a family. Baby Bird put on a good show rolling over lots and lots and spent his nights finding new ways to get stuck in his crib. We had a great seafood meal on the riverfront on Saturday night and my camera came along to document, but my memory card stayed behind...next time.
Our weekend finished with a visit to Great Grandaddy J at the hospice where he is being cared for and baby Bird was fascinated by his hospital bracelets and graphic hospital gown; when we visited there were 8 adults and 2 babies (baby Bird and cousin A) visiting Grandaddy. In the midst of this sad time it's such a joy to be together! Please pray for my Grandaddy and my family over the next weeks.
My big brother's Birthday is today so we had dinner together last night and enjoyed watching the cousins play together.

Now it's Monday and time to generate another week's to do list: car insurance, library card, new plates and drivers license, decide which room to tackle next...check back tomorrow for before and after pics of the front and back of our house!
